FLASH (Dynamic Vision Test)
Numbers flash for a split second. Read them.
FLASH is a dynamic vision test where numbers appear on screen for a split second and you type what you saw. It starts gently — 3 digits for 0.5 seconds — and ends in the 0.02-second range, where a blink literally costs you the run.
The format mirrors tachistoscope drills used in sports vision training: see something for an instant, hold it in memory, reproduce it. One run takes 1–2 minutes, one mistake ends it, and your record goes straight to the global leaderboard.

How to play
- Enter a username and pick FLASH (a name is auto-generated if you skip it)
- A number flashes in the center of the screen
- Type the number you saw on the keypad
- Correct answers advance you one level; one miss ends the run
Difficulty
Each level changes only one thing: digit count or speed, never both at once. Level 13 is advanced, level 21 enters the “oni” (demon) zone, and level 28 is nicknamed “beyond human”.
Tips
- Don't read digit by digit — snapshot the whole number and read it back from memory
- Lock your eyes on the center before the flash; searching costs too much time
- Play with sound on — an audio cue lands right before each flash
FAQ
- Q. Is FLASH free?
- A. Completely free, no account needed. It runs in any modern browser on iPhone, Android and desktop.
- Q. Does it train dynamic vision?
- A. We make no medical claims, but FLASH uses the same task format as tachistoscope training. Many players use their daily best as a practice log.
- Q. What level counts as good?
- A. Level 13 is advanced. Level 21+ puts you in the top few percent. Level 28 is nicknamed “beyond human” — almost nobody gets there.
- Q. How does the ranking work?
- A. By level reached and score. Weekly and all-time world top 100 are public.
